You stand on the rocks for an indeterminable amount of time. Waves roar, gulls cry overhead, and your arms are beginning to ache from being held above your head by the chain.
There’s nothing to do but wait here to die.

This story sits in my brain forever.
No matter what we do the story takes place as always, the only thing that changes is our attitude, yet it doesn't matter in the big picture, it doesn't matter in the big myth, it doesn't matter for anyone but us. It's a tragic tale of a forgotten woman striped of agency and recognition and sometimes acknowledging the women in these stories were people too is the only thing we can do.
